Road One was a great learning experience with advancement opptions
Office Manager (Former Employee) – Ann Arbor, MI – September 22, 2018
My career at Road One taught me a lot. I started as an administrative assistant and quickly advanced to Office Manager. I was trained very well with many opportunities to explore and attend training and career seminars.
Do not work here
Dispatcher and Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Pittston, PA – September 29, 2018
Very poor management, favoritism, they don't pay you for OT, or sick time, or even time worked. The most stressful job I ever had in my entire life !! No training, unorganized. Treat you with no respect at all!! Overall, the worst company I ever worked for! Stay away.
Working with the drivers and the customers
Management, unorganized, stressful
Don’t do it
OTR Truck Driver (Former Employee) – Channahon, IL 60410 – September 5, 2018
Don’t do it. Don’t do it. Don’t do it. If you like to work and not get paid go ahead and apply. If you want to work for a contractor and ride in garbage subpar equipment go ahead and apply. When pay issues arise the company will not do anything to hold the contractors they hired you to work for accountable. Dispatchers suck. If they don’t like you especially if you follow DOT rules they will give you unprofitable moves purposely. Don’t do it.
Nothing but favoritism
CDL Class A Driver (Former Employee) – Charlotte, NC – August 13, 2018
Decent company, but if you haven't been there for years on end, you get the bad loads. Has potential to be a better company. They just need to get the favoritism gone.
Stay far away from RoadOne
Dispatcher (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – August 4, 2018
Liars, a lot of backstabbing, no written SOP, no communication of internal information. Do not apply or work there. This company runs through employees like turning on the water faucet.
Long hours, no breaks, working conditions are horrible, company culture is I ask you if you need help, yet if you ask me too many questions I will hold that against you.
Data entry/ customer service
Customer Service (Former Employee) – Fife, WA – June 11, 2018

CDL-A DEDICATED LANE (Former Employee) – Lincoln Park, MI – May 23, 2018
The Road One Staff was Great.
The Containers they pulled between Rail Yard and Warehouse were awful and full of violations.
Waiting 2 hours at the rail yard for a repair is common.
Decent Load Pay
Rail Containers had Constant issues slowing the drivers down
Tow Truck Driver (Former Employee) – San Diego, CA – March 23, 2018
good company enjoyed working in the FSP division. Mike was a great supervisor . The pay was in line with industry in that area. The training program was good
Billing Specialist (Former Employee) – Cleveland, OH – January 2, 2018
Needs more opportunity for advancement in the company but an okay place to work and gain experience. I learned a lot about the trucking field and what to expect being at this company.
Nothing to say
Dispatcher (Current Employee) – 465 West Trigg Memphis, TN 38106 – January 1, 2018
I enjoyed working for the company until the past 8 years and seemed like everything I did was deemed wrong and the stress started causes me to have chronic migraines. So I didnt know whst dirctipn to go in.
Very poor working environment
Owner Operator Truck Driver (Former Employee) – Port Wentworth Georgia. Savannah – December 15, 2017
Management is very disrespectful and they expect you to do what they want you to do that anytime this is not a good place for a contractor to lease a truck to work and expect to get paid a decent wage for all the hours that they put in in a day management is very poor they don't give you what you ask for without having some smart remark Orr you've done something wrong when you speak up about the way you're being treated
I work for work Road One in the past they restructured got new people in the office so I went back thinking it would be better it was worse they demand your respect but they don't want to give you any respect
You don't have to deal with management all day
You have to deal with them in order to make a living

The people seemed to be nice
Customer Service/Document Specialist (Former Employee) – Fife, WA – October 14, 2017
I felt everyone got along but apparently not. It was boring, and you were told to get things done but experienced employees didn't want you to learn even if they said they did
free insurance for single employee and make a SOP
Was good place work they needed you for to many hours 60 plus a week, with no extra pay for over time
Dispatch Coordinator/Customer Service (Former Employee) – Philadelphia, PA 19136 – August 3, 2017
Atypical day was to dispatch drivers , Customer service Rail tracing, Take rail billing info , and Communication of OS&D procedures .Hardest thing was all the over time and not getting paided for it
Work is work
Customer Service (Current Employee) – Chino, CA 91708 – July 22, 2017
You can have a lot work or none but don't think that the right people get noticed the real workers. Been there for while the slackers don't get reprimanded and the good ones don't get noticed
that there are no pros
hardest part of the job
Dispatcher Assistant (Former Employee) – Joliet, IL – April 13, 2017
no training process at all, everything is expected to be learned as you go. you come in an no one is willing to help you "claiming" they are busy while literally doodling flowers and hearts on paper.
nice office, brand new computers and furniture
co-workers talk about each other, very team uncoordinated
Pretty Boring Job
Northeast Recruiter (Current Employee) – Kearny, NJ – March 11, 2017
Getting new drivers recruited is the easy part, keeping drivers happy with rates and work is the hard part. My job is behind a desk all day, no really interaction with people , only on the phone.
close to home
not too much interaction
Dispatcher (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – February 15, 2017
Corporate restructuring in Maryland led to a reduction in staff that was detrimental to the Atlanta office. Once veteran talent departed, the company declined quickly
City Driver (Current Employee) – Memphis, TN – October 29, 2016
Good company but 401k sucks n benefits not that gud
Hourly pay gud but no overtime I enjoy the company gud ppl just need small improvements like overtime n better insurance n 401k plan
Benefits n insurance sucks
CSR (Former Employee) – Channahon, IL – January 7, 2016
This place had to be THE worst place I have ever worked at. The compensation is horrible. They do not train you at all. Very stressful environment and the managers are horrible. They talk openly behind your back and to others. Very two-faced. I have heard the manager discipline someone from across the room in front of everyone. If you ask questions, they roll their eyes before answering.
Productive enviroment to work in,
Owner Operator (Current Employee) – Randolph, MA – October 30, 2015
